Planning Office
- Activities of Planning Office
- The International Planning Office proposes new directions and ideas for the internationalization of the University of Tokyo,
based upon research into the status of internationalization at other universities both within Japan and abroad.
- While having a full and complete understanding of the status of internationalization within all parts of the university,
the International Planning Office researches the status of and activities towards internationalization at leading universities
around the world. Through visits to universities around the world, the Office plans to create a public library of
"Internationalization Strategies".
- By making full use of these research results, carry out either an internal review, or an external review by an independent body,
of the status of internationalization of the University of Tokyo.
- Based on the above review, determine the goals of the University of Tokyo long term internationalization program,
and reflect the findings in the short and medium term plans for internationalization.

Academic Promotion Office
IO Management Office
- Through the development and training of staff with the skills to manage international affairs, and the production of multilingual materials and documents and so on, create the foundations for an international environment and structure within the University of Tokyo.
- Analyse the viability of establishing an IO Management Office on the Kashiwa Campus, with a view to foundation in 2007. Improve the environment for promoting the internationalization of the Kashiwa campus.

AGS (Alliance for Global Sustainability) Promotion Office
- The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Tokyo are promoting collaborative research to support global sustainability through strong cooperation at the university level.
- The above universities are building a network to support global sustainability research through contacts with governments, universities, and research institutions in the Americas, Africa, and Asia.

ASNET Promotion Office
- By managing ASNET (Asian Studies NETwork @ the University of Tokyo - a Japan-Asia research and education network), the ASNET Promotion Office aims to strengthen ties with other universities in the Asia region.
- Promote the strengthening of networks within the University of Tokyo, and search for new research and educational opportunities.

International Collaboration Advisory Council Responsibilities
- Activities of the International Collaboration Advisory Council Responsibilities
- The International Collaboration Advisory Council Chairman is the Executive Vice President Responsible for International Relations, the Vice Chairman is the Head of Department of the Division for International Relations, and other members of the committee are members of academic staff of the University of Tokyo and other universities, including foreign staff.
- The responsibilities of the International Collaboration Advisory Council include setting and overseeing the policy and activities of the Division for International Relations.
